FLOATING IN A HOT AIR BALLOON OVER THE DACHSTEIN ALPS
The most spectacular alpine balloon flight over the Dachstein mountains. Once in the air, guests can admire the spectacular 360° panoramic view of the mountains. A real feast for the eyes and the heart. Take off and fly in the beautiful Dachstein West region and land in the beautiful villages between the mountains with a natural, quiet and peaceful environment.
Our starting point is in Gosau Mittertal. We have various options in this area where we can take off in a hot air balloon to show you the best view of the Dachstein region. Please let us know if you would like a transfer from your (hotel) accommodation. We are happy to arrange your transfer locally at a reasonable price or in cooperation with our reliable partners.
What should I wear?
Wear warm clothing, preferably robust ski clothing. Wear warm and waterproof footwear, as your feet will be the first to get cold. Your upper body is warmed by the burners of the balloon.
Can anyone take a balloon ride?
For safety reasons, we do not take them with us:
- Pregnant women
- Children under 6 years
- Anyone who has had a major operation in the last 6 months
- Anyone who has had a broken leg/arm in the last 6 months
- Anyone who suffers from chronic back or neck pain or injuries
Where does the balloon land?
The balloon travels with the wind, the direction and final distance cannot be said exactly.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable and the flight is canceled?
For your safety, all flights are weather dependent. In the event of a weather cancellation by us, we will reschedule you for another date or you will receive a full refund if you wish.

Information about the Dachstein balloon flight
You will receive a travel confirmation in person, by telephone or via WhatsApp. You must pay in cash at the starting area. The whole experience takes 4 to 5 hours. The balloon rides last between 60 and 120 minutes. We inform our guests by telephone one day before the planned balloon flight with the details (launch site, time etc.).
Weather permitting, we fly 7 days a week from December to the end of February.
